Where Love of Learning Begins

These early years are a remarkable window of development, where curiosity is natural, and the foundations for lifelong learning are formed.

Our program is designed to honor this stage through hands-on exploration, meaningful play, and rich language experiences woven throughout the day. Children engage with materials, ideas, and one another in ways that build confidence, independence, and a genuine love of discovery.

Through thoughtful guidance and a carefully prepared environment, children develop strong social-emotional skills, learn to express themselves, and begin to understand the world around them—all within a warm, joyful, and language-rich setting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know.

Still have questions? Call us at 718-255-2105 or email info@concordiapreschool.com, we're always happy to chat.

How do you support children who are new to a school environment?

We understand that starting school is a big transition. Our teachers provide a warm, responsive environment and work closely with families to help each child feel confident, and gradually comfortable at their own pace.

Does my child need to be potty trained?

No. Children do not need to be fully potty trained to join the program. We gently support toilet learning in partnership with families, following each child's readiness with patience and encouragement.

Can my child join mid-year?

Yes, we offer rolling admissions based on availability. We welcome children throughout the year and thoughtfully support their transition into the classroom community.

How do you support social skills at this age?

Teachers guide children in learning how to take turns, express their needs, and build friendships. Through daily interactions and gentle support, children develop empathy, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

What if my child has trouble separating at drop-off?

This is very common at this age. Our team supports children with calm, consistent routines and reassurance. Most children settle quickly, and we keep parents informed to provide peace of mind.

How do you balance learning and play?

At this age, learning happens through play and exploration. Our program is intentionally designed so that children build skills through hands-on activities, meaningful experiences, and guided discovery.

How do you communicate with parents?

We provide daily updates through Brightwheel, including meals, rest, activities, and photos. We also maintain open communication so parents always feel informed and connected.

What is included in the program?

All meals are included, along with materials, activities, and enrichment experiences. Our goal is to provide a seamless, high-quality experience for both children and families.
